Global stainless steel production will grow again

International stainless steel BBS (ISSF) estimates that in 2007 the global stainless steel crude steel output fell 2.6% from a year later, 2008 will be a return to growth, the annual output will reach 29 million tons. ISSF believes that stainless steel demand will be driven by industrial production growth. In 2007, global stainless steel production fell 2.6% year on year, to 27.7 million tons, which contains more than 1 million tons of inventory. At the same time, ISSF estimates, according to the strong global industrial production growth, 200 7 years global stainless steel demand growth will be more than 8%.

ISSF predicts that in 2008, Asia is still the world's largest stainless steel producer, is expected to grow 7%, to 17.2 million tons, in 2007, Asia is also only a stainless steel production growth regions in the world. China still is the main driving force of production growth in Asia, as the investment of new capacity, China's stainless steel output will continue to grow.
